We are the Whitebird family — a mother-daughter team with a shared love for design, hospitality, and creating meaningful experiences. What began as a passion for gathering people together has grown into a space where stories are celebrated, moments are elevated, and every detail is intentionally curated.

Our journey started over 30 years ago in Guthrie, Oklahoma, where a simple couple’s shower sparked a lifelong love for hosting. After moving to Kansas City, that passion continued to grow — eventually blossoming into what Magnolia is today. Weddings, in particular, have always held a special place in our hearts, as they allow us to be part of life’s most meaningful milestones.

We draw inspiration from both evolving design trends and timeless elements that never fade. Our vision has always been to create spaces with character, warmth, and intention — spaces that feel beautiful on their own, yet transform to reflect each client’s unique story.

The name Magnolia carries deep meaning for our family. Years ago, a 40-year-old magnolia tree stood beside our front porch in Oklahoma — a quiet, steady presence through every season. Strong, graceful, and slow to grow, it became a symbol of patience, purpose, and trusting the timing of life. We always knew this dream would carry the name Magnolia — it simply needed time to bloom.

We are proud Native American women from the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes of Oklahoma, and creativity runs deep in our family. From painters and jewelers to dancers and beadwork artists, that artistic legacy lives on in everything we create.
